• Stinging in the eyes

Interactions

Like other drugs, Iotim may have negative effects when used with certain conditions or medications. Consult your doctor before using the eye drops.

Drug Interactions

If you use other medications, inform your doctor because they could interact with Timolol Eye drops. Other medications, including

• Epinephrine
• Clonidine
• Dopamine
• Amlodipine
• Atenolol

Disease Interactions

Iotim eye drops might interact with some diseases and produce undesired effects. These diseases are as follows:

Diabetes

If you have diabetes, you should take Iotim 0.5% Eye Drops cautiously owing to the increased risk of extremely low blood sugar levels. During medication, keep a close eye on your blood sugar levels.

Hyperthyroidism

Iotim 0.5 % Eye Drops should be used carefully if you have Hyperthyroidism. In such cases, an abrupt stopping of this medicine may worsen your condition. Hence, avoid stopping these eye drops without consulting your doctor.

Precautions

You should keep in mind the following precautions regarding the Timolol eye drops: 

• Missed dose: If you forget, administer the Iotim Eye drops dose as soon as you remember. You can skip the missed one if it’s time for the next dose
• Overdose: Strictly avoid taking an overdose of Timolol eye drops. In case you have taken multiple doses and have experienced eye problems, call your doctor immediately
• Apply pressure to the corner of the eye for about 1 minute after applying the eye drop
• Avoid using this medicine if you are also using a beta-blocker medicine that is taken by the mouth
• To minimize dilution, wait at least 5-10 minutes before administering the next drug in the same eye
• Inform your doctor if you have lung or heart diseases, as Iotim Eye Drop may interact with these conditions
• After using the eye drops, a stinging sensation may occur for 1-2 mins. Consult your doctor if it persists for longer

Storage

Keep out of the reach of children and pets. Store the eye drops at room temperature in a well-sealed container away from heat, moisture, and direct light. Avoid freezing.
