Warning

Side effects

Inform your doctor of any side effects that bother you or do not disappear. Some common side effects that can occur:

• Changes in menstrual bleeding, e.g., irregular bleeding or sometimes stopping of bleeding
• Mood changes, including depression
• Decreased sex drive
• Headache
• Nausea
• Acne
• Breast tenderness
• Weight gain
• Rash or hives
• Ectopic pregnancy
• Vaginal dryness
• Dementia
• Deep vein thrombosis (blood clot in the legs)
• Stroke
• Pulmonary embolism
• Breast cancer

Interactions

Susten 100 is safe, but there are chances that it can interact with other drugs and diseases to show side effects. 

Drug interactions

Progesterone can interact with a lot of other drugs. This includes medicines you get from a doctor or buy over the counter, vitamins, and herbal products. Some of them are:

• Adderall (Amphetamine/Dextroamphetamine)
• Armour Thyroid (Thyroid desiccated)
• Benadryl (Diphenhydramine)
• CoQ10 (Ubiquinone)
• Cymbalta (Duloxetine)
• DHEA (Dehydroepiandrosterone)
• Estradiol Patch (Estradiol)

Disease interactions

Following are the diseases that are known to interact with Susten 100:

• Breast malignancy
• Liver disease
• Thromboembolism
• Depression
• Fluid retention
• Glucose intolerance
• Retinal thrombosis
• Thyroid function tests
• Hyperlipidemia

Food interactions

Susten 100 may not be more effective if taken with grapefruit juice. It would be good if you also avoid alcohol while you are on this medication.

Precautions

Following are the precautions which are supposed to be followed:

• Missed dose: As soon as you remember, take the dose you forgot. If it’s almost time for your upcoming dose, don’t take the one you missed. Don’t take more medicine than you should make up for a missed dose
• Overdose: Get help from a doctor immediately if you face any problem for a longer duration
• If a person has liver or kidney problems, even if treated with dialysis or a mental disorder like depression, this drug is wrong for them. Before taking this drug, you should discuss your medical history with your doctor
• If the patient has had heart disease or heart failure in the last six months, they should talk to their doctor about their medical history before taking this medicine
• Patients with bleeding in the brain, a stroke, a heart attack, or other severe problems with their blood vessels should not take this drug. Before taking this medicine, you should talk to your doctor
• Patients with Asthma, Diabetes, migraines, or Epilepsy should not take this medicine. Before starting this medication, inform your doctor if you happen to have any of these conditions
• This drug isn’t suitable for women who have had breast lumps, fibrocystic disease of the breast, an abnormal breast x-ray or mammogram, or menstrual cycles that come and go or don’t come at all. Before taking this medicine, you should talk to your doctor
• Women who have cancer are not good candidates for this drug
• A person with a blood problem shouldn’t take this medicine
