Food interactions

Multivitamins containing minerals may diminish their effectiveness when combined with Metoprolol 100 mg. Take Metolar 100 mg tablets 2 hours before taking multivitamins with minerals.

Precautions

When receiving Metolar 100 mg tablet administration, take the following precautions.

• Missed dose: Take a dose as soon as you realize you’ve missed one. However, do not take the missed dose if the next dose is approaching. Do not take multiple doses of the medication to compensate for a missing one
• Overdose: Metolar Tablet overdose can result in a reduced heart rate, low blood pressure, nausea, vomiting, and coma. In case of overdosing, call your doctor or go to the nearest hospital immediately
• Never exceed the recommended dose. Metoprolol 100 mg tablet should be taken at the same time every day
• Appropriate lifestyle changes, including a low-fat diet, exercise, and smoking cessation, should be implemented in conjunction with this medication to achieve the best results
• Dizziness may occur when taking Metolar medication. After taking this tablet, avoid driving or operating machinery
• Taking this tablet may cause dizziness. If this happens to you, slowly get out of a sitting or lying position
• If you have diabetes, it can hide the signs of low blood sugar. Keep an eye on your blood sugar levels often
• Stopping Metoprolol 100 mg tablet all of a sudden can cause your blood pressure to rise quickly, making you more likely to have a heart attack or stroke

Storage

Metolar Tablets should be stored below 25°C, away from light and moisture. Keep the tablet out of the reach of children and pets.
