Olmecip 40 mg Tablet Side Effects

As your body adjusts to Olmesartan (Olmecip), its adverse effects will diminish. Contact your healthcare provider immediately if the symptoms persist or worsen. The following are some adverse effects of the Olmesartan tablet:

• Back pain
• Swelling of feet or lower legs
• Chills
• Unusual tiredness and weakness
• Headache
• Nasal congestion
• Joint pain
• Blood in urine
• Dry mouth
• Diarrhea
• Bladder pain

Interactions

Every drug interaction is unique to each patient. Consult a physician before taking any medication. A medication may interact with other drugs, foods, or preexisting conditions. Before beginning treatment, discuss any possible drug interactions with your physician.

Drug Interactions

Olmecip 40mg can interact with the following medicines:

• Diclofenac
• Dexamethasone
• Captopril
• Insulin

Disease interactions

Olmecip 40mg tablet should be used with caution if you have congestive heart failure. Due to the increased risk of kidney damage and deterioration of your condition, it is a heart condition in which your heart cannot adequately pump blood. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine. 

Food Interactions

Avoid consuming potassium supplements and potassium-rich foods such as banana fruit juice, coconut water, and broccoli. 

Precautions

Remember the following before taking this medicine to treat Hypertension:

• Missed Dose: Take the missed dose of Olmesartan 40 mg as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next, skip the missed dose. Avoid doubling your dose to make up for the missed dose
• Overdose: Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose
• It can cause dizziness in the first few days. In case you’ve been lying down or sitting for a while, get up slowly
• Your doctor may order periodic blood tests to monitor your urea, creatinine, and potassium levels
• Unless otherwise directed by your doctor, Avoid combining this medication with anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen
• If you are pregnant or nursing, do not take Olmecip 40 tablets
• Do not discontinue the medication without first consulting your doctor
  
• Olmesartan 40 mg tablet is not recommended for children and adolescents under the age of six

Store the medicine below 30°C. Keep Olmecip tablets away from kids and pets.
