• Increased Creatinine levels in the blood
• Breast enlargement in men

Although Aldactone 25 mg is safe to take, there may be some side effects as it interacts with the medicines/foods/diseases given below:

Interacciones medicamentosas

In case you consume any of the below-given drugs, let your doctor know about it:

• Anti-depression drugs like Alprazolam
• Anti-epilepsy medicines like Phenobarbital
• High blood pressure lowering pills such as Ramipril
• Immune-suppressing drugs such as Cyclosporine
• Painkillers like Ibuprofen

Interacciones entre enfermedades

You should talk to your doctor before consuming this medicine if you have any of the following conditions:

• Patients with Anuria or with nil urine output
• Patients with Cardiogenic shock
• Patients with low blood pressure (hypotension) or heart valve problem
• Coronary heart disease patients
• Enfermedad hepática
• Diabetes
• Low serum Potassium (Hypokalemia)

Interacciones alimentarias

You should try to avoid these foods with Aldactone 25 mg:

• Potassium-rich foods such as broccoli and banana; as this medicine is a Potassium-sparing Diuretic, it leads to this mineral being deposited in the body. The excess of it may be harmful to the body
• Alcohol; as may make you feel dizzy

Precauciones

Take the following precautions when using this medication:

• Dosis olvidada: In case you miss any dose, take it as soon as possible. Skip the previous dose if it is time for your next dose already. Do not take a double dose
• Sobredosis: You should inform your doctor immediately in case of an overdose
• Try to avoid doing activities that require concentration, as this medicine may make you dizzy for the first few days
• The doctor may check your Kidney function regularly while you are on Aldactone 25 mg
• You should let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Talk to your doctor if you feel dizzy, have diarrhea, vomiting, fast or irregular heartbeat, difficulty breathing, or swelling in your feet
• Aldactone may cause a decline in sexual performance, breast pain or swelling, or irregular or fast heartbeat
